4-Star all-aluminum quality, kept in condition you rarely see. One owner since new (bought off the dealer lot, original title). It has been stored inside every winter, was just detailed, and the horse area looks nearly new. There are no water stains and no rust, and it has a clean Wisconsin title with no liens. It also has two features you rarely find on an LQ: rooftop solar and an Onan propane generator on its own tank, so you can camp for days with no hookups. Inside, the living quarters have ample storage cabinetry throughout.
HORSE AREA
- 4-horse slant load, all aluminum, 8' wide, 7'6" tall
- 3 padded dividers plus head dividers, and a stud wall at the back stall
- WERM poured rubber floor
- Drop-down windows with bars on the head side
- 4 roof vents in the horse area
- Rear tack with a swing-out rack for 4 saddles, bridle hooks and blanket bars
- Stall length: about 80" (75" dividers plus about 5" between the mangers and the butt wall)
LIVING QUARTERS (14' short wall, Trail Boss interior)
- Ample storage cabinetry throughout the living quarters
- Queen bed in the gooseneck (original mattress, good condition); the high-profile design gives extra headroom in the gooseneck bedroom
- Leather sofa/dinette with removable table; the sofa folds out into a bed for extra sleeping space
- Kitchen: upgraded DOUBLE sink (most LQs have a single), recessed built-in Suburban 2-burner propane cooktop (tested, works) with a cover that extends the counter space, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment (propane/electric)
- Bathroom: toilet, shower, sink
- Separate mud room with its own outside entrance into the bathroom: use it for extra storage, or reach the bathroom without tracking dirt into the living quarters
- Roof A/C (tested, works), furnace (tested, works), propane water heater (tested, works)
- TV, stereo, antenna, manual awning
- Tanks: fresh about 50 gal, gray 35 gal, black 35 gal
- De-winterized and tested Oct 25: plumbing holds with no leaks, the water pump runs normally, hot water works and the toilet flushes properly. The fridge and freezer run cold on electric.
POWER AND OFF-GRID
- Onan MicroQuiet 3600 propane generator on its own 30-gallon tank, with remote start from inside the living quarters. The meter shows 220 hours. It was moved over from our previous trailer, so total lifetime hours are unknown.
- Rooftop solar panel with a Samlex 30A charge controller, professionally installed by an RV shop
- Two Interstate deep-cycle house batteries (Group 24M, 81 Ah each), about 2 years old
- The solar got us through week-long or longer camping trips without running the generator to charge the batteries. This year the trailer sat unplugged all summer, and the solar alone kept the batteries strong enough to start the generator and run the electric-over-hydraulic jack.
- Two brand-new LQ propane tanks, purged and half-filled at Midwest RV
- 30-amp shore power (includes adapter for a household outlet)
CHASSIS
- Gooseneck, 2 axles, electric brakes, breakaway battery, electric-over-hydraulic jack (toggle switch, runs off the house batteries)
- Matching Goodyear G614 RST LT235/85R16 Load Range G heavy-duty commercial tires, deep tread, no cracking
- 16" 8-lug wheels with polished stainless wheel simulators
- Overall length about 38'
- VIN: 4FKPG302680029897 | GVWR: 19,350 lb | Empty weight: 7,500 lb (per manufacturer certificate)
HONEST HISTORY
We bought it new off the dealer lot in 2010. We used it for about four vacations west to Wyoming and the Dakotas, plus weekend Competitive Mounted Orienteering trips. It was winterized in 2019 and has barely been used since. It has been stored inside every winter, so it has never sat through road salt season. It was just serviced at Midwest RV, with new propane tanks purged and half-filled.
